2018 LEADERSHIP RETREAT

Utah Farm Bureau Federation would like to invite Utah Board of Directors and Farm Bureau County Presidents and spouse/partner to the 2018 Leadership Retreat at The Chateaux Deer Valley located at 7815 Royal Street, Park City. Utah Farm Bureau will be providing select meals and a group activity at the Utah Olympic Park for you and an additional person. Should you have any additional persons attending the event, please register them under “Additional Attendees” online and select the activities they will be attending to be billed after the event.

 AGENDA

PURPOSE OF LEADERSHIP RETREAT

The purpose of this Leadership Retreat is for leaders to attend various workshops and receive updates to aid in your success as you lead county Farm Bureaus.  This Retreat replaces “Council of County Presidents.” Time has been built into the schedule to socialize with one another and enjoy what Park City has to offer.  The program is designed so your spouse/partner will join for breakfast and meetings in the morning, followed by lunch on Friday afternoon. At that point, they have the flexibility of staying or enjoying the various activities Park City offers.

REGISTRATION

Please register online through Eventbrite at https://ufbfleadershipretreat.eventbrite.com if you are able to attend the 2018 Leadership Retreat in Park City. You will complete one registration per person attending and select which meals/activities you will be participating in. Registration is due no later than Friday, May 18th at 11:30 p.m.

 THE CHATEAUX DEER VALLEY

The Chateaux Deer Valley, a Forbes Four-Star luxury property, is nestled mid mountain at Deer Valley Resort with convenient access to the seasonal year-round amenities of both Silver Lake Village and Deer Valley Resort. Guestrooms at The Chateaux feature a gas fireplace, jetted tubs, heated towel racks, crisp duvets and pillow-topped mattresses, along with a small refrigerator, microwave, and flat-screen televisions. Deer Valley Resort is filled with nonstop activity such as lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic chairlift rides, and music-filled evenings at their Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. There is a complimentary shuttle just minutes to historic Main Street, Park City, offering over 100 restaurants and nightly entertainment.

Outdoor activities are available from hiking, biking, scenic lift rides, horseback riding, fly fishing, wake surfing, ATV rides, golf, and beyond. Park City is an outdoor mecca in the summertime.

Park City Main Street has a truly unique history. Just 5 minutes from The Chateaux Deer Valley, this is a great place for you to explore Park City’s authentic mining town, offering exclusive shopping, energetic nightlife, as well as a number of fabulous restaurants.

UTAH OLYMPIC PARK

Utah Olympic Park offers adventures for groups of all sizes. Check out the ziplines, adventure ropes courses, drop tower, and extreme tubing on the Nordic Ski Jumps just to name a few! There is no charge to visit the Alf Engen Ski Museum and George Eccles 2002 Olympic Winter Game Museum, watch athletes train, or explore the venue.

Utah Farm Bureau will be providing Gold Passes to any interested attendees. During online registration, you must select that you would like a Gold Pass. This pass includes unlimited day use of the Discovery Course, Canyon Course, Summit Course and Drop Tower. Please note that this pass excludes guided tours and the bobsled. If you choose to participate in these activities, you must complete an online waiver we will provide you with at a later date.

Located mid-mountain in the shadow of Bald Mountain, you’ll find the secluded Silver Lake Village and its focal point, the Silver Lake Lodge. At an elevation of 8,100 feet, this lodge features not only spectacular views, but a delicious 3-course meal as well!

SPEAKERS

Utah Farm Bureau welcomes Elise Stoddard, Director of Organization Development  at American Farm Bureau Federation as a featured presenter. Saturday’s closing keynote speaker is Congressman Chris Stewart. Congressman Stewart is an American author, businessman, and politician known for his bestsellers Seven Miracles That Saved America and The Miracle of Freedom: Seven Tipping Points That Saved the World. He currently represents Utah’s 2nd congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.
