Preparing for the Future: Farm and Ranch Succession

Preparing for the Future: Farm and Ranch Succession

Whether your farm or ranch has been in the family for decades or you're a first-generation farmer or rancher, Farm Bureau Financial Services can help protect your legacy. Their farm and ranch succession workshop can help you get started, and there's one taking place this week.

Farm Bureau Financial Services has been holding succession planning seminars throughout its eight-state region called "Changing Hands". The seminar is about helping you learn more about succession strategies and planning tools that can be customized to meet your needs. They'll cover a wide variety of information to help you plan for keeping your business in the family - methods of transferring assets, distributing assets fairly among your heirs, reducing risk by protecting your assets and more.

The next 'Changing Hands' seminar will be held this Friday, March 22, at the Rodizio Grill Motorsports Campus in Tooele, from 12-2 p.m. However, even if you live too far from this seminar, Farm Bureau Financial Services agents are able to meet with current members, or others, to talk about succession planning strategies and plans that will fit your farm or ranch.  These principles can apply to those who own other businesses as well.
