USU Extension to host conference on using drones in agriculture

Utah State University Extension will be hosting a workshop, October 18, 2018 from 9am to 3pm at the USU campus in Kaysville, to provide information on types of UAVs, federal rules and regulations and applications for UAVs in agriculture. Participants will have the chance to fly a UAV at the workshop, weather permitting. In the afternoon, participants will analyze images using Microsoft Image Composite Editor and Image J.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop to the workshop. The software can be downloaded.

Seats are limited to 15 attendees. Priority will be given to growers but if seats are still available after October 1, other industry representatives and county Extension faculty will be considered. Please, send an email to Claudia Nischwitz (claudia.nischwitz@usu.edu ) if you want to sign up for the workshop by October 1, 2018. Lunch will be catered. Please, let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. The event will be held at 80 E Sego Lily Drive, Kaysville, Utah.
