On April 26, 2017, President Trump ordered a review of 24 Department of Interior managed national monuments. The review order points out that misuse of the Antiquities Act by Presidential Declarations and "designating too much land for national monuments harms economies of communities near the affected land by eliminating grazing, timber harvest and mining."
