County Seat:  Farmington

Origin of County Name: named after Daniel C. Davis of the Mormon Battalion

Economy:  defense industry, small manufacturing and distribution, service industries, and agriculture, especially alfalfa, grain, onions and fruit

Davis County is Utah's third-most populous county.  It's home to Hillfield (now Hill Air Force Base) and the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield both were built up during World War II.

The growing season in Davis County is one of the longest in Utah.  It averages about five and a half months.
