The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture is leading the way in helping consumers, particularly children, learn about modern farming. School visits are particularly effective, according to Daniel Meloy, executive director of the Foundation.

“It is really effective when kids can actually hear from a real-life farmer or rancher, hear what they do and get to meet somebody who’s actually doing that work,” Meloy said in a recent Newsline. “And, it’s even better when that farmer or rancher can come in with education resources,” he added.
