SANDY, Utah. May 7, 2026 – The Utah Farm Bureau Federation (UFBF) today announced that Sadie Sweat has been promoted to Vice President of Organization and will lead the Farm Bureau’s efforts in leadership development, consumer engagement, and professional development among staff. Additional responsibilities include managing select office staff.
Sweat will continue the great efforts of Susan Furner, who is retiring at the end of May.

Sweat was originally hired as the Administrative Assistant and Event Planner for the UFBF in 2021 and excelled in assisting elected leadership, coordinating UFBF’s annual convention, and more.
Sweat was born and raised in Heber City and is the third of six children. Sadie grew up on a small family farm raising cows, pigs, and horses, where she learned to value agriculture and hard work. She enjoys being outside, playing sports, and being around friends and family.
Sadie was a very involved student at Wasatch High School and served a church service mission in Paraguay before graduating from Utah Valley University (UVU) with a degree in Communications. Most recently, Sweat graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governors University. When not working, Sadie’s hobbies include boating, golfing, longboarding, playing sports, spending time with family on her family’s ranch, and traveling as much as possible.
“I have really enjoyed my time here at the Utah Farm Bureau and working with our state’s farmers and ranchers, and I look forward to continuing to serve in agriculture in this new way,” Sweat said. “I really enjoy growth and professional development, and look forward to helping our members grow in confidence as leaders as we engage with consumers.”
“We’re proud to have Sadie continue her leadership with the Utah Farm Bureau family,” said Spencer Gibbons, Chief Executive Officer for UFBF. “She’s the kind of person who rolls up her sleeves, figures things out quickly, and keeps things moving forward. Sadie is organized, dependable, and genuinely cares about our members. I’m excited to see the impact she’ll continue to make in developing leaders across our organization.”
Sweat can still be reached at Sadie.sweat@fbfs.com, and her office number will be 801-233-3040 at the end of the month. She is the main point of contact for the UFBF Promotion & Engagement Committee.
