Are you a producer interested in increasing your level of conservation? Are you interested in implementing best practices for nutrient management and soil health? If yes, you're a great fit for the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food's Agricultural Voluntary Incentive Program (AgVIP)!
AgVIP is a completely voluntary, incentive-based program for producers focused on providing critical technical and monetary assistance to conservation-focused individuals. Producers who participate in the three year program receive a customized nutrient management plan, water quality assurances, soil health plans, and more! Those who successfully complete the program are eligible for annual incentive payments ranging from $10-20/acre, or a minimum of $2,000-$4,000/year for smaller operations under 200 acres. Additional bonus payments are also available (up to $5,000/year) for producers who go above and beyond the minimum program requirements, or expand the number of acres they are implementing conservation practices on.

Producers can enroll in AgVIP simultaneously with other USDA and UDAF programs. For more information on the program and application, visit https://ag.utah.gov/conservation/agricultural-voluntary-incentive-program.
Applications are open now through Monday, June 22nd at 5:00 PM MDT. Producers will need the assistance of a UDAF planner, so don't wait to apply!
