When Maria and Josh Lichty catered their own wedding in 2008, the food was met with rave reviews and requests for recipes. Maria began posting recipes to her husband’s blog for family and friends, but when strangers started visiting their food and lifestyle blog, Two Peas & Their Pod was born.

Fifteen years later, the blog has since turned into a foodie’s dream with a variety of recipes from sweet and savory to indulgent and healthy. A self-proclaimed cookie connoisseur, Maria has posted over 200 delicious cookie recipes that simply can’t be missed.

Maria, Josh, and their two children Caleb and Maxwell (who serve as excellent taste testers!) currently reside in Salt Lake City, Utah. When not whipping up delicious recipes in the kitchen, Maria and her family enjoy watching sports, hiking, traveling, reading watching movies, and more! Catch up and learn more from a conversation with Maria from Two Peas & Their Pod.

What is one thing you wish you knew more about when it comes to agriculture and those who grow our food?

I grew up in Illinois and my dad is an agricultural economist. I now live in Salt Lake City with gorgeous mountains, but I miss the corn and soybean fields. We try to support local farmers when we can! We love visiting local farmers markets. We also have our own garden and fruit trees.
