New reports from the Agriculture Department predict U.S. farmers will continue high crop production. John Newton, AFBF’s market intelligence director, explained the numbers in a recent Newsline.

“USDA projected the corn yield for this new crop at 175.1 bushels per acre, a new record.” Further, “A similar scenario happened on soybeans. We saw USDA forecast soybean yield at 48.9 bushels per acre.” If those very big production numbers are realized, it would set records for both crops.
