The perfect time to go to a Farmers Market

Now is a great time to visit farmers markets throughout Utah, with many fruits and vegetables at their peak for freshness and flavor. The Utah Farm Bureau started the first farmers market in Utah more than 35 years ago in Murray. Despite having moved locations, the Farm Bureau still operates that Murray market, now found at Murray Park off of 5300 South. Additionally, the Utah Farm Bureau manages the South Jordan farmers market, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
Angie (McMullin) Hepworth works with her family's McMullin Orchards in Payson, and is a board member for the Utah County Farm Bureau. She recently appeared on KSL TV's Studio 5 program with Brooke Walker to talk about farmers markets and the cultural contributions they and all of agriculture makes to our state. You can watch the clip below, or learn more about the Utah Farm Bureau's farmers markets. To find additional markets throughout the state, visit https://www.utahsown.org/markets.
