In the most recent episode of Cows, Plows and Things that Grow, the Utah Farm Bureau's podcast, listeners will hear from American Farm Bureau (AFBF) President Zippy Duvall and Utah Farm Bureau President ValJay Rigby as they their experiences at the American Farm Bureau convention and the different issues impacting American agriculture. Many of Utah Farm Bureau's leadership attended the American Farm Bureau Convention to finalize national Farm Bureau policy and build connections with ag leaders from across the country.

In connection with this, we meet with a group of young farmers and ranchers who recently won awards at Utah's state Farm Bureau convention and also traveled to the AFBF Convention, competing against award winners from other states in national contests. We'll hear them share their thoughts on the convention and how these competitions help them be better advocates for agriculture.

Lastly, we also visit with Kelly Pehrson, the Commissioner of the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, and from Utah Farm Bureau's policy team to talk about the newly commenced legislative session and the issues Farm Bureau is prioritizing there.
