Dale Newton, CPA, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Newton reports to the board of directors and makes major corporate decisions, manages Utah Farm Bureau's overall resources and operations,  manages the corporation's investment portfolio, advises the Financial Sustainability Strategic Advisory Committee, and leads the Farm Bureau staff.

Jennifer Pratt, CPA, CIA, CFE, Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer reports directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer and directly assists on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, financial reporting, completion of local, state and federal tax reporting, forecasting needs and membership growth.  Jennifer advises the Financial Sustainability Strategic Advisory Committee.

Sterling Brown, Vice President - Public Policy

  

Sterling reports to the CEO and his primary responsibilities include overseeing state legislative and regulatory affairs, local affairs and political education programs and provide staff assistance to policy development activities to assure maximum effectiveness in implementing Utah Farm Bureau policies.

Wade Garrett, Director of Public Policy

Wade reports to the Vice President--Public Policy and has the primary responsibility of overseeing national legislative and regulatory affairs.

A.J. Ferguson, Vice President - Farm Safety

 

A.J. reports to the CEO and heads the Utah Farm & Home Safety Program, offering safety programs to County Farm Bureaus, farmers/ranchers, civic and charitable organizations, schools and churches.  The Safety Program helps create a safer workplace and prevents worker injuries.  A.J.'s responsibilities also include managing Utah Farm Bureau's Ag Trade Show, UFBF technologyservices, and the Utah Farm Bureau building.

Matt Hargreaves, Vice President - Communications & Farm Bureau News Editor

Matt reports to the CEO and develops marketing communications strategies, builds media relations, coordinates all public relations activities, directs social media, manages media inquiries and interview requests, directs outreach efforts, builds relationships with thought leaders to grow agriculture awareness, advises the Consumer Engagement Strategic Advisory Research Committee and serves as the Farm Bureau News editor.

Susan Furner, Vice President - Administration & Ag Promotion Committee Coordinator

Susan reports to the CEO and serves in a supervisory role to the Director of Member Benefits, Administrative Assistant/Event Planner, and Programs Assistant, coordinates the Ag Promotion Committee as they develop and implement programs and activities designed to engage and connect with consumers, advises the Consumer Engagement and Leadership Development Strategic Advisory Research Committees, is the point of contact for the FB University program, leads staff in convention content/program development, and is a content editor for the UFBF website.

Linda Erb, Personnel Coordinator / Accounting / Membership

Linda Erb reports to the CFO and processes accounts payable and accounts receiveable, enters transactions into Quickbooks, researches to verify account transactions and resolves account descrepancies.  She is a liaison between Utah Farm Bureau and Iowa Membership Administration, answers membership inquiries, and problem solves to achieve account resolutions.  Linda serves as personnel director coordinating new hire employees and employee benefits.  She also produces monthly and quarterly membership reports.

Julia Misiego, Member Services & Women's Committee Coordinator

Julia reports to the Vice President--Administration and is responsible for procurring state member benefits and manages national, state and county member benefits for Farm Bureau members.  She is the coordinator for the state Women's Committee as they work to foster leadership development, promote ag education, communicate ag stories, and encourage political involvement.  Julia manages Utah Farm Bureau's Murray Farmers Market and South Jordan Farmers Market.  She serves as a staff advisor on the Financial Sustainability Strategic Advisory Research Committee and is a content editor for the UFBF website.

Hannah Haslam, Programs Assistant

Hannah reports to the Vice President--Administration and is responsible for processing membership, managing SIP reports and volunteer membership reports.  She is staff support for Voter's Voice, Century Club membership, and is the point of contact for sending out county invitations for county events such as annual banquets, and takes care of UFBF mailing services. She serves as a staff advisor on the Leadership Development Strategic Advisory Research Committee.  Hannah is the YF&R Program assistant and helps with Discussion Meets, YF&R Awards Program, FFA Activities, YF&R Leadership Conferences.


Spencer Gibbons, Director of Field Services & Northern Regional Manager

Spencer reports to the CEO. He manages the Utah Farm Bureau field staff and serves as the northern regional manager.  Regional managers work with and motivate volunteers members in assigned counties as the first point of contact with Utah Farm Bureau. His diverse responsibilities include leadership development, developing membership acquisition strategies, policy development, legislative & Farm Bureau policy implementation, County Farm Bureau support, and serving as a liaison for farmers & ranchers with public agencies. Spencer covers Box Elder, Cache, Davis, Morgan, Rich, Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele, and Weber Counties.

Garrick Hall, Central Regional Manager & YF&R Committee Coordinator

Garrick reports to the Director of Field Services.  Regional managers work with and motivate volunteers members in assigned counties as the first point of contact with Utah Farm Bureau. His diverse responsibilities include leadership development, developing membership acquisition strategies, policy development, legislative & Farm Bureau policy implementation, County Farm Bureau support, and serving as a liaison for farmers & ranchers with public agencies. Hall coordinates the Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) program, helping young people in agriculture with issues of particular concern to their situation in life. This involves leadership conferences and support of Utah's FFA Chapters. Garrick covers Beaver, Daggett*, Duchesne, Iron, Juab, Kane, Millard, Sanpete, Uintah, Utah, and Wasatch Counties.  (* Daggett County does not currently have an organized County Farm Bureau)

Brett Behling, Southern Regional Manager

Brett reports to the Director of Field Services. Regional managers work with and motivate volunteers members in assigned counties as the first point of contact with Utah Farm Bureau. His diverse responsibilities include leadership development, developing membership acquisition strategies, policy development, legislative & Farm Bureau policy implementation, County Farm Bureau support, and serving as a liaison for farmers & ranchers with public agencies. Brett covers Carbon, Emery, Garfield, Grand*, Piute, San Juan, Sevier, and Wayne Counties. (* Grand County does not currently have an organized County Farm Bureau)

Clayton Beckstead, Northeastern Regional Manager

Clayton reports to the Director of Field Services. Regional managers work with and motivate volunteers members in assigned counties as the first point of contact with Utah Farm Bureau. His diverse responsibilities include leadership development, developing membership acquisition strategies, policy development, legislative & Farm Bureau policy implementation, County Farm Bureau support, and serving as a liaison for farmers & ranchers with public agencies. Clayton covers Daggett, Duchesne, Morgan, Salt Lake, Summit, Wasatch, Uintah, and Utah Counties.
