The Utah Farm Bureau Federation has been actively monitoring events related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and for the health and safety of our rural and urban communities. We support the recommendations and preventative measures from Utah Governor Gary Herbert and the Utah Task Force.
During this unique and challenging time, we have listened carefully to advice about the need to practice social distancing, along with taking other preventative measures. The Utah Farm Bureau will continue to hold normal business hours, Monday—Friday. Though some staff members will be working remotely, all are able to be reached via email to continue to ensure Farm Bureau members receive the services they have come to expect.
Of special note is how benefits for Utah Farm Bureau members will be impacted. Most entertainment venues are temporarily closed until further notice. Please check with the venue directly and plan accordingly. Tickets may still be purchased for future dates and will be mailed to you, but there will be no in-person purchasing of tickets until further notice.
Related, Farm Bureau Financial Services is following all guidelines and recommendations from the various sources of expertise to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. They are also committed to continuing to service client/member needs, whether that be through local offices or online account access. Any impacts to claims handling related to insurance products will be minimized as much as possible so that members continue to receive the level of care that Farm Bureau Financial Services is known for. Please contact your agent for specific information.
Additionally, during this time, those in our communities that deal with food insecurity continue to have needs. Groups such as the Utahns Against Hunger have information on how to secure food for those in need, and the Utah Food Bank is continuing to accept donations, both in-kind and financial.
Thank you for your patience and support while we all navigate these challenging times together. Best regards for your continued health and safety.
Sincerely,
Ron Gibson
President, Utah Farm Bureau Federation
